Typhoon Megi Hits Suhua Highway

  Typhoon Megi be affected by the Northeast Monsoon and Cause the Suhua Highway to landslide.
   On the 21st of October, Typhoon Megi was raining over 1000 millimeters of Taiwan in one day. A lot of roads have been blocked. And this was the worst flooding in Nanfangao fishing village. Traffic in Suhua Highway was blocked. The result of landslide, it brought a lot of sediment and debris to hit Suhua Highway.

  At 108 Km, Suhua Highway of traffic was cutting off the road by landslide. And very important thing is 25 people are missing in here. The missing people included one Chinese tour leader and a Taiwanese bus driver from Hong Tai Tour Company as well as 19 Chinese nationals, a Taiwanese tour guide and bus driver from Harula Tour Company.

  The government sent air force. Army and Navy to help find missing people and fix the collapsed roads. A total of 36 family members of travel group arrived in Taiwan on Monday and asked the government of Taiwan to expand the scope of the search, no matter their relative dead or alive they hope to looking for them.
