Encouraging public transport - Kaohsiung building the point of park in the MRT station

　　On the16st of February, Transportation Bureau, Kaohsiung City said, in order to encourage people to use public transportation to reduce air pollution, this year no intention of building park in the downtown of Kaohsiung city center.

　　According to Transportation Bureau of statistics, city government commercial district of Kaohsiung, there are nearly 500 parking needs. But we were to improve the air pollution in Kaohsiung. So revised the parking policy is no intention of planning to building a big park in the downtown of Kaohsiung city center.

　　Instead, planning to build the point of park in the MRT station to encourage people to park their private vehicles at point of park, and take the MRT to the city center.

　　Transportation Bureau of Kaohsiung said, if people going to the downtown of Kaohsiung city center are taking public transport, not only the air pollution of Kaohsiung will be improved but also improve traffic congestion and energy consumption problems. The city of Kaohsiung will be more health to live.
